I'm ok!

Well, I'm not going blind, so Yay! Not that I *really* feared that I was (not *really*). I just got back from the eye Dr.'s and everything is mostly fine. Before I got my eye surgery, I used to have really watery eyes. It seemed like my eyes were always tearing up, but after the surgery that went away. I thought it was kind of nice to not always be wiping tears away, but apparently it was a little too much, because my eyes have been too dry. The feeling of having an eyelash in my eye that I mentioned? Apparently what I was really feeling were little scabs on my eye (caused perhaps because my eyes are too dry, or maybe I sleep with my eyes open a little and they're rubbing against my pillow). The shooting pain I felt yesterday? One of the scabs getting stuck to an eye lid and being pulled off when I blinked.

Anyways, he didn't seem to think it was that serious. He gave me a prescription for some special drops (actually, it's salt water, which stings like a bitch when you put them in) to keep my eye dry while these scabs heal for the next week or so. They want my eyes dry for this so that I won't tear anymore scabs off, then I move onto a lubricating eye drop and I should just give myself some drops every night before I go to bed to stop this from happening in the future.

So, freak out for nothing. :) I had totally started freaking out even more since I spent a large part of the morning really dizzy, but I think that's because I'm coming down with a cold. My throat was feeling weird earlier in the week, and I think I might have a bit of a temperature, but mostly I was just feeling dizzy and blamed it on the eye thing. I took some Advil though and I'm feeling much better now so I came back to work after my eye appointment.

I'm glad it wasn't anything very serious, although it sounds very uncomfortable. {{smooshes}}

Not too uncomfortable. My eyes just feel dry and I'm very aware of them after I take the drops, like if I move my eyes I can feel it.

Me too, although I will admit, I hate putting drops in so the news that I'm going to have to do it for the foreseeable future really sucks. Still! At least I'm not going blind or having an aneurysm!

I am glad that this issue was minor, although painful. I am like you, any funny business with my eyes causes a major freakout.

Yeah me too. You just don't want anything to go wrong with them, because you know you'll need them later :P

Boy, eye stuff can hurt *so* much!
I got a little scratch from some grass while mowing one day and you'd have thought someone branded my eyeball!
Glad things are improving and it's no too serious, but you are right to get on top of any little thing with your eyes!

I always feel for the little dogs that come in here with a huge ulcer on their eye, or glaucoma that's been untreated for months and such, and I just think, "*OH* the pain!" I get them pain control immediately, poor li'l buggars!
