New SGA Vid - Pegasus 101

So, I *finally finished that vid I've been working on for months. I originally planned on using it as a Premiere vid at Vividcon, but I'm on the waiting list, and don't think I'll make it to the actual con, so I'm posting it now.

Title: Pegasus 101
Vidder: paraka
Song:The All Spark by Steve Jablonsky
Rating: Gen/Team
Summary: My first Gen/Team vid, I've been wanting to make one for years and now finally have.
I wanted to tell the story of the team learning about and adjusting to life in Pegasus. The vid is in three parts that follow the music. First is them finding Pegasus and becoming a team. Second is about the team going out there and meeting the Pegasus natives of the human variety, and the last section deals with the Wraith. I was trying something new with the ending, please feel free to let me know what you think of it.

Thank you to paradise_city. Without all her amazing cheer leading, I'd probably still have this sitting unfinished. And maekala, darlulu and kimberlyfdr who all took the time to send me a beta. The POV would have been all messed up without you guys.

That was cool. I really liked the insets in the Wraith section. :D

Seeing Peter again made me all sniffy. ;_;

Yay!
Ha, I just left a comment at your journal saying I put it up, but you beat me!

I'm glad you liked! The inserts seem to be something people either really like, or really don't, I'm glad you're in the like section!

And word on Peter. He was an awesome character, and deserved better! At least he didn't die by exploding tumour though...

I really enjoyed this. The music is lovely and a great choice, and I like how you work with it. I also love how you showcase more than just the main team - I really like the sense of 'Atlantis as an expedition working together in its entirety' that emerges from the vid.

Yeah, that was something I tried to work for. In my first version there was a lot of Sheppard, especially in the beginning, but I wanted the vid to be about *everyone* because it was more than just John's team that had to deal with Pegasus. I think even Teyla saw a different side of it once she joined the team.

I'm glad you like it :D

This is fantastic, I really loved it. Everything comes greatly together and a very good choice of music, too. Must go see again. :-)

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. I love this whole sound track, so it took me a while to decide which song to make the vid to, but this song had the strongest story line in my head.

Ooh, I loved this! The changes that you made were fantastic -- the three sections were much more clearly delineated and the POV was exactly what you'd wanted. The overly shots of the jumpers were great, especially the way they culminated in a large shot of the jumper leaving the planet. I really liked this in its original version, but this final version was even better. This was awesome, seriously. I'm so glad you finished and posted it!

Yay! I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I'm glad I finally finished it though, I've been itching to start my next vid.
I may have possibly spent last night researching Mortal Kombat :S
